Michael Evans
is the founder, owner and operator of CuscoTours.info.
He arrived in Peru in 2008, for what was supposed to be a
rather unplanned three month vacation. After falling
in love with the culture and the people of Peru, he stayed in Cusco, and began giving tours to other travelers.
He is originally from the United States, and has lived in
Memphis, TN, Seattle, WA, Monterey, CA and San Francisco, CA. While
living in San Francisco, Michael owned a wholesale company, and also worked in tourism.
An accomplished photographer for over 25 years, Michael's
photographs have appeared in The New York Times, Memphis
Magazine, LensWork, File Magazine, as well as numerous trade
publications and books. His passion for photography
began while at University, and has never subsided. His
most recent work is a series of photographs of Inca ruins.

"Michael Evans is a master of
light, but you'd expect that from a fine photographer. What
makes his work amazing, though, is the sense of balance, the
perfect poise in every shot, and above all, an understanding
of quiet, which is as much a quality in the visual arts as
it is in any other."
